ÖREBRO CAN BECOME AN EMERGENCY AIRPORT

To strengthen Sweden's socially important air transport, the Swedish Transport Administration proposes that Örebro Airport should become an emergency airport. Due to this, Örebro Airport invited to a press conference on Tuesday, attended by Governor Maria Larsson, Regional Councilor Irén Lejegren and Airport CEO, Mikael Smedberg.

- Getting the legitimacy and designation as an emergency airport would be very good for the county, it would serve crisis preparedness in a positive way. We think it is a matter of course that Örebro Airport should be a contingency airport because we can, among other things, receive all kinds of planes, we are a logistics and a demographic center in Sweden. So we hope that this proposal will be received positively, says Maria Larsson.
