The town of Rhodes is divided into a new town and an old town. The new town has hotels, restaurants, shops and the bar street Orfanidou. Near Orfanidou Street there are youth hotels and great entertainment. In the old town, which dates from the Middle Ages, you can walk around the cobbled alleys with a wide range of restaurants and boutiques in a beautiful historic environment.

There are two nice beaches in the town of Rhodes: Windy Beach on the west side and Elli Beach on the east side. Rhodes offers many nice beaches all around the island and you can always find a favourite. Choose from sandy beaches, stony beaches, gravel beaches and cliffs. The west side is very windy but nice in the hot summer months, while the east side is often a bit warmer and calmer.
