The queen of Sweden, Silvia, visiting the airport under a great welcoming from our staff. Rolf Zandström, who was working at Örebro Airport, was newly hired as a staff member at the time and he still remembers the huge commotion at the arrival of the royalty.
1988
The picture below shows a flight photo over the terminal and airside back in 1988. An aircraft of the model SAAB 340 is parked up on the platform.
1983-84
During the years 1983-84 was also the runway extended to a total of 1 850 meters. Today it has a length of 3 300 meters.
1982
The year when the line to Copenhagen started. The airline of Swedair was the first to operate and did it with a Jetstream 31.
