2018 - 40th Anniversary
On 15 September 2018, the airport celebrated its 40th anniversary. The public was invited to an Airport Day with free admission and the packed program. It was a successful day with an estimated 8,000 visitors from Central Sweden. Below you see the program.

Flight demonstration JAS 39 Gripen
Be on site directly from the opening, when the Swedish Armed Forces' JAS Gripen lands in Örebro. During the day, the aircraft are set up for "static display", where you will meet pilots and technicians. Times: 10:15 JAS lands at Örebro, 13:00 Flight demonstration with JAS, 16:00 JAS leaves Örebro.
Örebro Airport
With capacity, precision and competence, aircraft are handled here from all corners of the world. During the Anniversary Day, you can visit several stations where airport staff perform work steps and show the machinery used in cargo and passenger flights. Do not miss the Stair View, where you can see the extended runway a bit from above. In the exhibition, you will also meet informants from the airport with sales of duty-free goods.

MSB shows forest fire dept & camp equipment
Örebro was the hub for the flying fire fighting resources during the summer. Visit MSB, the authority for civil protection and emergency preparedness, which shows so-called. forest fire depots and how to work in a camp. Camp equipment is the most common equipment MSB sends by air from Örebro Airport.
DHL Express
The Boeing 757 cargo aircraft is parked on the flight side, during the day you can see how goods are unloaded and how the aircraft is prepared for departure. Do not miss to visit DHL's terminal which is open to visitors all day.

EPIROC
View of Rocket Boomer, underground machine. In the exhibition hall you will also meet an EPIROC representative who shows a simulator.

TAM - Rundflyg med Sweaflyg
TAM opens the doors for viewing. Round flight over Örebro with Sweaflyg, SEK 500 / per, 30 seats SAAB, buy your ticket in the Service Center. Flight safety check.
Flygtur med helikopter
Häng med på rundtur med någon av Turbinhelikopterna. Fyra platser per tur, 400 sek/pers. Eller vill du testa en Provlektion med Robinsson R44? Inleds med teoripass och avslutas med 20 min flygning, 2 000 sek. Bokning och betalning på plats.
Segelflygplan
Örebro Segelflygklubb medverkar och visar upp flygplan. Passa på att ställa frågor till informatörer från klubben.
Flygtur med privatplan
Örebro Flygklubb visar privatflygplan. Är du nyfiken på att uppleva vad privatflyg kan innebära? Här kan du ta en flygtur över centrala Örebro. Tre platser per tur, 300 kr/pers, ca 20 min. Flygningarna bokas hos flygklubben under jubileumsdagen.
