2015 - extension of the runway
the runway today measures 3,300m.
The year 2015 & 2018
The development continues around the airport and the runway begins to be prepared to be extended by another 700 meters. The reasons are that aircraft should be able to operate directly to long-distance destinations from / to Örebro in a more cost-effective way, without stopovers and fully loaded. Another taxiway is being built at the same time during the project. In 2018, the runway will be completed and today measures 3,300m.
